YakGear's latest product release is a new take on an existing favorite. The company is pleased to introduce the YakStick Stake Out Mud Anchor! Now available through yakgear.com and local YakGear dealers, the YakStick Stake Out Mud Anchor takes everything anglers love about the original YakStick Mud Anchor and incorporates useful new features. An oversized foam grip ensures a solid hold as paddlers push through hard bottoms or silently anchor into their favorite shallow-water fishing spots. Meanwhile, a trusted combination of cross-pultrusion fiberglass and durable nylon means the new YakStick can withstand bumps, pulls and harsh conditions on the water. Ideal for use aboard boats, paddle boards and kayaks " and designed to float if dropped in the water, the YakStick Stake Out Mud Anchor is as versatile as it is functional. The team tried to take every obstacle into consideration during the six-month development process, YakGear President Bill Bragman said, noting both customer guidance and new ideas contributed to the finished product. "The whole goal is to make life easier " to improve on what we offered before, but still keep old reliable for those customers who want the original,"he said. "We offer five different anchoring solutions, and for shallow water users, this will be great. We think we've got something special here." The anchor accommodates RAILBLAZA camera accessories, Bragman said, noting anglers can incorporate their Camera Mount Kit using the RailMount 19-25 along the anchor's shaft, or add the RAILBLAZA Camera Mount Adaptor to its top handle by adding a ¼-20 screw to hold it. "We designed the anchor to suit RAILBLAZA's products as well, knowing how customers are really active videoing and photographing their experiences on the water,"he explained. The YakStick Stake Out Mud Anchor measures 75"long and 7/8"in diameter, and weighs in at just 22 oz.
